What is a transaction investigation and what do I need to do if I receive a transaction investigation?

What is a Transaction Investigation?

A transaction investigation may be conducted to verify the authenticity of your account transactions. Moreover, as an FCA-regulated payment provider, we also need to ensure that the payment channels are not being misused, complying with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and anti-fraud regulations.

Transaction Investigation Process

GlobePay will notify the merchant about the investigation via the Merchant Portal, Mobile App, and the contact email address associated with your account. The email subject will be: “Action Required: Transaction Spot Check.”

What You Need to Do

  • Gather the requested documents/evidence which can be found in the email we sent you.
  • Submit relevant documents via the Merchant Portal before the due date.
  • Once submitted, we will forward your evidence to the relevant department for review.
  • Feedback will be sent to your contact email address if any further documents are needed.
  • Once the investigation is completed, you will receive email confirmation from us
